I had been dreaming of photographing an engagement session like this forever, so when Gagan and Jas booked their engagement session with me I knew it would be incredible! These two are both from Vancouver and wanted to take the photos at the beach with clothes that embraced their cultures!

Gagan and Jas have been dating for around 4 years! I wanted the photos to capture Gagan and Jas’ fun and laid back vibe as a couple, and their natural chemistry together made it easy! Gagan brought along a small flower bouquet that was fun to incorporate into their photos too. Bouquets aren’t just for weddings and are a pretty prop to include in engagement and couples photos. 

Stanley Park, known as the biggest park in Vancouver is located in West End, Vancouver, and is known for its rugged cliffs with the best views of the ocean, making it a popular location for people to visit to watch the sunset, go on a walk, visit the beach, and go surf at. The day of Gagan and Jas session, it was cloudy and overcast, so we didn’t get a beautiful sunset. Regardless, this location is gorgeous, and the clouds added a whole other vibe to their photos that I loved!

From wherever you park, you can follow a trail that walks along the shore. Since it’s such a popular area, we spent a lot of this session walking around to find the best spots without many people around! I would definitely recommend arriving well before sunset to have time to walk to different spots, or even consider a sunrise session here. 

I’m so thankful to have met Gagan and Jas, and to photograph them in such an incredible location in Vancouver!
