What started as a hobby when I was younger has now become my obsession + full-time career. I’ve had the chance to photograph weddings all around Mexico and British Columbia.
I started my career first as a photographer and social media manager in high school. After realizing that I loved taking pictures I decided to open my own photography business -best decision I've ever made. I started doing portraits, sport and product photography and eventually I got my first wedding. Fast forward 2 years I've helped more than 80 people capture their memories. I'm in love with running around with my camera and capturing those candid moments that not only your mom will be obsessed with, but all your friends too.
I did an exchange year in Salt Spring Island in the 9th grade and immediately fell in love with British Columbia. I can't believe I get to call this place my home now.
Your wedding day is your day to show your love story. My approach to capturing a wedding is very documentary style of photos. I am there to document every little moment, every hug, every tear, and every kiss. Each couple I work with prefers quality over quantity. Wouldn't you prefer to have 1 crumble cookie over 5 from dollar tree? They also tend to crave intentional connections which is not very common in this world nowadays.
I have had my camera in my hand for about 5 years now, and I wouldn't want it any other way. And can I tell ya something? I LOVE what I do. I feel like I won some sort of lottery or cracked the code of who I was meant to be, because I couldn’t imagine a better role for myself. It’s a freaking blast. I get to attend these luxurious, magical, joy-filled wedding days filled with people like YOU and the people you love, and capture it all. YES PLEASE.
- Location scouting
- Hanging out with my friends
- Traveling
- Drinking lots of chai tea latte
- Listening to Zach Bryan
- Exploring Vancouver
- Shopping
- At the beach
- The only drink that actually makes me want to be productive is chai tea latte, extra points if it has one pump of vanilla syrup.
- I'd like to think my photography "talent" comes from my mom since she takes all my pictures! (including this one).
- I would consider myself a Rachel, but there is definitely a bit of Monica in me!
- I went on an exchange year and after having that experience, I knew I wanted to explore the world.
I'm here to be your friend, not just your photographer.
